Alaska Salmon Bake

The Alaska Salmon Bake is located in Fairbanks, Alaska. It can be found off of Airport Way in Pioneer Park. The Salmon Bake is perhaps the favorite place to eat for my family. We find ourselves going every chance we get. The food is absolutley delicious. The Salmon Bake offers a variety of fish such as Halibut, Cod and of course Salmon. All of the fish is fresh and is caught from Alaskan waters. They also serve Prime Rib and have hotdogs for kids. The Salmon and Prime Rib is cooked before you of a wood fire pit. The Salmon is prepared with a lemon, butter and brown sugar sauce. I personally am not a big Salmon eater but I love the way it is prepared and tend to gorge myself on it when we go there.

The Halibut and Cod are lightly breaded and deep fried before you also. When I eat there I tend to make several trips back to where the food is prepared each time geting another type of fish or more Prime Rib.

Everything is All You Can Eat. I guaratee you will not leave hungry. The meal also includes an All You Can Eat salad bar which has baked beans, rolls, various salads and deserts. Coffee, Tea and Lemonade are provided but other drinks such as sodas, beer and wine are an additional fee.

While dinning you have the choice of eating outdoors under the warm Alaskan sun or inside the dinning hall.

As I stated earlier you will not leave hungry. After we eat we usually walk around Pioneer Park to let our food settle. Pioneer Park has many sights unique to Alaska particularly the Fairbanks area.

The Alaska Salmon Bake Does have a bus shuttle service to and from major hotels from 5:00pm to 9:30pm seven days a week.

Prices for the Salmon Bake are-

Adults : $28.00

Children : $5.50 for 2 hotdogs, salad bar, beverage and desert - or - $8.50 for 1 serving of Prime Rib, Salmon, Halibut or Cod, salad bar, beverage and desert.

The Alaskan Salmon Bake is well worth the price you pay. It is a very unique Alaskan experience. I definately recomend eating here.

Here we go

Living in alaska is a unique experience. I have been here most of my life and done about all of things that tourist come here to do. Still, everytime someone asks me where a good place to eat is, I can't think of one. In this Blog I will put pics and reports on the the places I go and dine. Of course it will be based on my personal tastes but I will do the best I can to add what the people who go with me think. I will let everyone know how each of the locations were, how well the service is and of course the food.

Like I said earlier, I have been here a long time. If anyone has any questions on how a certain place is, leave a comment and I will do my best to check it out or I will tell ya how my past experience was if I have been there.

Hope this helps... Floyd
